Researchers at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore have developed radar on a chip smaller than a grain of rice.  This radar is developed using metal oxide semiconductor.  It has a transmitter, three receivers and a high-frequency frequency synthesizer that provides signals to the radar.  Such radars can be used in the defense sector as well as in areas such as medical centers, transport and agriculture.  'Through the Wall' radar helps detect the presence of people behind the wall, plus it will classify their actions and postures.  It monitors or detects human beings and objects in urban environments and performs search and rescue operations in military situations or natural disasters.  Researchers have used new architectural and circuit design techniques to overcome radar challenges.
