ISRO Yuvika 2020: ISRO suspends Young Scientist Program
The Indian Space Research Institute (ISRO) has suspended the Young Scientist Program (Yuvika). The event was to run for two weeks from May 11 to May 22, 2020 during the summer holidays. But the event has been postponed due to the Corona epidemic and lockdown.
The aim of the Yuvika program is to generate interest in youth towards astronomy from a very young age. Fundamental information about space technology, space science and space applications will be made available under the program.
In this, students will get an opportunity to meet big scientists in various ISRO institutes and branches. During this time they will get a chance to see how they work in various ISRO labs.They will be able to ask scientists any kind of space science related questions. In the special session with experts, we will get to know the specifics related to astronomy. In this session famous scientists will also share their experience with these students.They will also gain practical knowledge in the lab. ISRO will bear all the expenses incurred on students during the program.
