Government of India has banned 59 mobile apps. This includes TicTalk, UC Browser and other Chinese apps.
Indian security agencies had asked the government to either block 52 mobile applications linked to China or advise people not to use them as they are not safe to use. These apps are sending data out of India on a large scale. The people associated with this case had given this information to Hindustan Times.
The list that security agencies sent to the government included video conferencing apps such as app Zoom, TicketLock, UC Browser, Xander, Share It and Clean Master.
